As a Christian counseling ministry and Not a professional mental health agency/practice, we should not be expected to conduct our counseling ministry exactly as such. Moreover, we cannot turn anyone away just because they are not able to donate to our ministry. Counseling is Christ-centered where biblical-based pastoral counseling and spiritual life coaching is available. The counseling ministry services are free but I ask for a seed/donation of $35 or more hourly to help with the ministry. We just ask for support if possible. You can submit donations below.

Counseling and Coaching Sessions are conducted via: Skype, Email, Phone or Face to face/Mobile. Minister Cheryl sometimes collaborate/consult with a host of other Christian Counselors, Pastors, Social Workers, Ministers and other Referrals (only) when needed to better serve individuals and families. Life Coaching is fee-based (differs per coach). Spiritual Coaching is a free brief service.

| Pastor Cheryl founded Healing for Your Soul Ministries) which is not a VA State Licensed agency but a Counseling Ministry and the Director Cheryl Howard is not a (VA State Licensed) Mental Health Counselor. She works as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) separate/outside of Christian counseling under the direction of another agency licensed by the VA Gov’t funding for clients with disabilities, mental & behavioral health challenges. Credentials/Affiliations – As a Pastoral Counselor and ordained Minister, Cheryl governs her counseling ministry (Get Your Life Back Counseling Ministries) under the policies and professional ethics of American Association of Christian Counselor’s Code of Ethics. She is a National Board Certifiedl Pastoral Counselor-affiliated with the Board of Professional and Pastoral Counselors.

Your Privacy/ Confidentiality:nIt is your choice to remain anonymous or not, any session would be confidential and the only time where I may share or disclose your issue is in the case of child abuse, elder abuse or other form of domestic violence and if you threaten to harm yourself or others, or if I have to, for certain cases, consult one of my other counselors/professionals to collaborate with me (while keeping your personal info private) so we can better assist and serve you after discussing matter with you first (your name will remain anonymous) and/or if you prefer, with a written consent either via email-mailed. Your info below goes to my personal email address (only). After submission below a consent and contract form will be emailed to you to fill out and emailed back to the above email address. Experience – Cheryl has experience in individual and group Spiritual Counseling, Outreach, Case Management, Community Integration Counselor, Positive Behavioral Intervention Support Provider, and Client-Advocacy. She is a licensed Minister/Ordained Pastoral Leader, and has a M.A. in Human Services: Marriage & Family Counseling from Liberty University Graduate School Center for Counseling and Family Studies. Ms. Howard is also Certified in Pastoral Counseling and has attended Fordham University School of Social Services MSW (masters in social work) program, and has a M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary Graduate School. Pastor Cheryl served as an Associate Pastor and Pastoral Counselor with the J.U.S.T.I.C.E Organization and Jesus is Justice Mission Church in Far Rockaway Queens, NY before moving to VA to be near her family. Her ministerial background is in Evangelism, Healing & Deliverance, Outreach ministry, and Abstinence Education (Faith-Based organization) program to Youth from ages 11-18 with The Center For Self-Sufficiency. |
